It’s crunch time here with book deadlines! We have been running around like crazy to get it all together. I brought in my friend Beka, to help me style the book shoot, and Alison, to photograph. I also brought Bethany in to do some filming along the way, and Kylie to ensure things ran smoothly.
What happens after you bring five creative minds together for a day of hard work? Selfies in the closet.
I am so excited to share the book with you, it’s happening so fast. Keep an eye out on instagram for more snippets!
I’m going through a bag phase right now–which you know already know if you follow my Pinterest. There is just so much out there to be discovered! A great bag with even the simplest of outfits is the easiest way to guide your personal style.
‘Tis the season for statement coats. I’m busy working on the book, which has led me to loads of pinterest research. I’ve been searching high and low for inspiring pieces, and here are some winter favorites!
We decided to get ourselves back to one of our favorite places on earth this holiday season- Quebec City (or as I like to call it a real life snow globe.)
I’ve actually been getting calls and questions about it since our return and the general answer is : “Yes. It really is that beautiful. ” We stayed at one of my favorite places..in my opinion the only place to stay in town – Le Chateau Frontenac. Walking home in the snow each night to this beautiful building was so magical.
While in New York, I make a quick stop to see my friend Elisa Solomon at ABC Carpet & Home and picked up some of these beauties. I’m so excited to announce that we are working on a really fun jewelry collaboration in the next few months!
If you haven’t already familiarized yourself with all of her jewels, you should! Here are a few more of my favorites from her site. They’re all so fun and different.
Stay tuned to the blog and Instagram for more info.. Can’t wait to share it with you!
Don’t be fooled by the lack of snow–it is still the most beautiful time to be in New York. It’s freezing, but a great time for fashion. You don’t have to worry about bundling up to the point of no return, and can use faux fur accents for a fun pop–a favorite of mine as you’ll see in my book. Another plus, since the holiday season has passed you can hit all your favorite spots (almost) crowd free!
I’ve been hard at work on a few images for my upcoming paper line. (yay!) I used this holiday season as inspiration. First, I started with sketching a stylish, chic figure and selected a palette. I was planning on creating a beautiful pastel coat..but the rich holiday colors got the best of me and I soon decided an emerald would be fabulous. Here are the behind the scenes images from the making of my illustration!
I’m still working on her, but I know I’ll be adding a neon pop somewhere (like the tassle above).
